The test rig for measurement of stability of chairs bases on a desk construction from aluminium profile and a 12 mm strong galvanized steel plate. The table plate has a gap in the centre of one square edge, where the chain of the weight set is guided through.

The surface of the desk is 1000 x 1000 mm. On the desk, 800 mm high, horizontal stops and a catching device are located, which can be adjusted to various types of chairs and it avoids the falling over of the chair in case of failure. The weight basket is located under the desk. The weight basket is lifted pneumatically and wears weights up to 150 kg.
